This is totally NOT a sponsored post, just something I am excited about and wanted to share. I feel a little silly having to say that but with so many blogs doing sponosred posts these days I thought it important to mention it.
Our home is currently void of two very important decor items, pictures of us and decorative pillows. The first has already been remedied with a large order made during a flash sale at canvas on demand. I am pretty excited to finally have large format canvases of some of my favorite pictures. The second however has been a thorn in my side. All the decor blogs I read talk about how you can “cheaply” change your whole room by just changing your throw pillows. The problem is none of the pillows I have found actually are cheap nor have I loved any of them. Then today I hoped on Society 6 to get a new cell phone case and saw that they now have pillows!!! The down side, there was 100 pages of them ughhhhhhhhhh. As usual with this site there are some real gems but I feel like I am at a thrift store sometimes with it, having to really dig and ignore some of the grosser items to get to the good. I found a ton of pillows I would totally purchase and thought I would share a few from the genres I was looking for: geometrics, tribal/aztec, nature/native american, whales/goofy cute.
Geometrics have been hot for a year or two now it seems, so I am a bit wary to make a large geometric purchase for fear they have run their course. I thought these ones were pretty fun and cute though and could be replaced when the trend bows out. I threw some chevron and herringbone in there as well just for kicks and giggles and because they had a bagillion of them.
I really love the earthy/ natural thing that the hipsters have going. I think I am going to purchase the arrow and NSEW pillow in black and in the off white they offer for the boys room.
The boys really love whales and we kind have a whale theme going in their bathroom so I am always on the look out for cute whale stuff…. not that you need pillows in a bathroom ha! I have the little owl print on my computer desk right this moment and love it.
I have slowwwwwly come around to the “aztec” or southwestern prints that are now all over the place. Chris however has NOT and refuses to allow any of it in our home. I think having it be forbidden has backfired and made me want it more ha! If it is allowed in your home there are some fun options on there. I particularly love the top middle.
Honestly I kinda gave up after page 75. But for 20 bucks for a 16X16 pillow cover I am happy about this new development! Now I just need to find some to go with our vintage couch that is looking like it is nakey sitting there with no pillows on it. Any suggestions and what we should go with?
