I wanted to do something fun and unusual for the kids valentines this year. I also didn’t want to spend too much because it isn’t a holiday usually celebrated here in France. I had pinned this card from Rifle Paper Co. and used it as the inspiration for them being Valentine Bandits, wanted for stealing hearts.
All I had to do was cut out little bandit masks from felt and pull out one of their Daddys black beanies. I originally was just going to have them wear these black and white striped shirts, but the outfits they are wearing are from H&M’s halloween line this year and I love that they add a bit of glam to it 😉
We are going to attach little bandit masks to each of the valentines instead of candy (we really are sticking to our resolutions!). Plus I think that would make the fun last a lot longer.
I took about a zillion pictures so unfortunately you are going to have to do a lot of scrolling ha!
We had ALOT of fun doing the photo shoot for this. All we did was buy a bunch of roses and crisscross shredded about 10 pages of red paper, headed into the girls bedroom (which gets lots of great light) and went to town.
I originally was going to have them do all the pictures in front of the heart chains I made (so easy its embarrassing to make, just stapled strips of paper) but liked the simplicity of the white in the end.
I could take a million confetti-in-your-face pictures ha!
It was hilarious trying to explain to the boys how I wanted them to look like they were running away… with out actually running.
I told Sawyer “you are a heart bandit, you are stealing the hearts of the girls in your class”.
To which he answered “but none of the girls are here? And what am I going to do with their hearts once I stole them?” Hmmmm, time to teach him what figuratively means ha!
Finally I just told them to do some cool ninja moves. They got THAT right away.
