You guys, this pattern was a BEAR of a process. If you were one of the people who wanted to help pattern test and didn’t get to you should thank your lucky stars ha! The pattern testers this round were amazingly patient with me as I worked out a MAJOR sizing issue in the beginning (I gradded Evie’s size when I thought I had graded Chloe’s YIKES!) But it was all worth it because now it is ready to go!
Along with being able to offer the pattern in four sizes this whole experience means the girls closets are now being stuffed full of new dresses (some of which fit better then others ha!). Evie wore her most recent version on our visit to Luxembourg park last week on a gorgeous sunny day!
I freely admit that I am a Amy Butler addict. A yard of her fabric plus some bright colored tights and you have got something pretty adorable on your hands!
I am sure many of my lovely readers wonder if I ever sew anything for Chloe. Well I TOTALLY do but this little fireball does NOT like having her picture taken or being told what to wear. She will wear the dresses I make her when she is good and ready to wear them, like at 7pm on a dreary day. But hey I will take it! I rushed her into our guest room to snap some pictures of her latest version.
This fabric is also Amy Butler and it took Chloe a few days to warm up to it. She wants pink pink pink.
I do LOVE how easy on and off this dress is. With just one little elastic closure I don’t have to run behind her trying to button up buttons nor catch her soft little skin in a zipper. Easy peasy!
I also love the sleeves on the dress and how it is the perfect transition from winter to spring dress. It is a REALLY fast sew which is also a huge bonus! For the first week as with all my graded patterns it is only $3.00! The price will go up slightly to $5.00 next week. Snatch it up while it is on the cheap! Thank you so much to all my extremely patient pattern testers! I will be sharing some of their fun photo’s through out the week for inspiration! If you are ready to whip up your own you can find the pattern HERE.
